![]() ![]() The problems returned when I reinstalled that mode. I did try removing then reinstalling this mode to confirm that it was the actual problem. Removing the Do Not Disturb mode has significantly improved the responsiveness of Ultimate 22 for me. I couldn't identify if this problem affected Ultimate 22 only but it seemed to be the only program seriously affected. But for Ultimate 22, whether it was added to the list of selected apps or not, this was definitely not the case. This is supposed to optimise performance of selected apps amongst other things. Every time I carried out an action in Ultimate, even just opening a JPG, one of the Avast Antivirus processes would start using 30 or 40 percent CPU power, sometimes more.Īfter a lot of trial and error with adjusting or turning components on/off, I found the culprit to be Avast's Do Not Disturb mode. I then ran Task Manager side by side with Ultimate and the culprit became obvious. I obviously suspected Windows 11 and applied all the performance improvement settings I could find, as well as updating all drivers and programs to their latest version. ![]() It would start fine then performance would deteriorate to the point that folders would take several seconds to reload when switching between them in Manage mode or opening a file in Develop mode would take an excessively long time. I recently updated to Windows 11 and Ultimate 22 became almost unusable. ![]() Even though I have a fairly capable setup, I saw no performance improvements. Like a number of people on this forum, I wasn't getting any boost in processing speed with the last few iterations of Photo Studio Ultimate. ![]()
